Heartland Church's mission is to connect hearts to others and to God. One way to accomplish both tasks is to get involved with fellow believers. Heartland Church is an all volunteer organization. Everything from the cleaning of the building, mowing of the lawns, to the production of the web site is carried out by volunteers donating their time and talents for God. God has gifted each of us with a unique talent and it's a wonderful form of worship to Him to use it in a way that glorifies Him by helping others. If you don't see an area where your talents could be used -- please get with us and we will open an opportunity for your talents to be used! We've started ministries such as the Tool Time ministry for people who are handy with their hands to be able to serve. Interested in photography? That too can be a ministry to others when done for God's glory.
Acts 6:2 (NIV)
2So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. 3Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them 4and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."
