About Kids Team    Helper Schedule    Serving

Heartland Church launched a new children's ministry in 2009 called "Kids' Team." The Kids' Team welcomes all children from potty-trained 3-year-olds through 5th grade. The “Kids' Team” mission is: "To help children connect and fall in love with Jesus Christ in a safe, loving and fun environment.“ The Kids Team’s environment is based on a Baseball theme.  This gives the children a fun setting that they are familiar with, giving them a greater level of comfort.

We are using curriculum from "The Rethink Group"  and for the K-5th grade it is called 252 basics and it is based on Luke 2:52.  The Pre-K curriculum is called First Look. The Pre-K group welcomes potty-trained 3-year-olds through pre-schoolers.

We have a computerized check in system that will print name tags for the children and their parents.  Each child will get a name tag that will be time date stamped and will also include any acute allergies such as peanut, etc.  The parents will receive a name tag with the names of all their children on it and this will need to be presented to the teacher at the end of church to check their child out.  We have moved the check in stand to the link hallway between the buildings to facilitate movement and alleviate congestion.  This also creates a natural funnel that we use to block off the old part of the church during service to maintain a safer environment.

To facilitate security we have a jersey system to differentiate our volunteers.  The managers, main teachers, will have red jerseys on.  The coaches, helpers, will have blue jerseys.  The umpires, those who oversee, will have white jerseys on.  Jason Barnett is called the commisioner and will have a red jersey.

We always welcome and love to meet new children visiting our program! Please feel free to attend our program during the 9:00 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. service. We cannot wait to meet you!
