What We Believe

Heartland is an evangelical church. We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. We believe in one God who has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.  Jesus was the Son of God and came to earth to live a sinless life and offer Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. By accepting this sacrifice, we are saved and will live in heaven for eternity. The Holy Spirit is poured out on all believers to live within us to have power over sin and Satan. The Bible is the inspired word of God given to us as truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible tells us that to be a child of God you must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and we must accept His authority over our life. We believe that Jesus came to earth and was put to death for our sins, rose from the tomb, ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.

As children of God, we can come into God’s presence at any time. We believe that God is anxious for us to come and talk with Him. No one is perfect; therefore all people are to be loved and are welcome at Heartland Church.

Heartland believes that we are all given special talents and gifts from God and that we should use these gifts to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.
